Schubert’s Nineth Symphony was the last symphony by the Austrian composer. It represents the pinnacle of Schubert’s Symphonic maturity. It was first performed by Felix Mendelssohn by the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra over ten years after the composers death on March 21 1839.
Robert Schumann said of Schubert. “Schubert explores all facets of emotion, of life, of experiences, and most importantly always leave us yearning for more.
